Former Chicago Bears interim head coach Thomas Brown is joining Mike Vrabel’s coaching staff in New England, NFL Network reported Monday.Brown, 38, will become the Patriots’ tight ends coach and passing game coordinator, per the report.Brown began the 2024 season as Chicago’s passing game coordinator. He was promoted to offensive coordinator on Nov. 12 following the firing of Shane Waldron, then promoted to interim coach on Nov. 29 following the firing of Matt Eberflus.Brown went 1-4 as the Bears’ interim coach, beating the Green Bay Packers in his final game in January.
