Over twenty thousand residents across the West Bay were without power Monday afternoon after a series of outages across Warwick, West Warwick, East Greenwich, Coventry, and Cranston.
27,000 residents were without electricity around 2:00p.m. according to National Grid, and even Warwick Mall had to shut its doors temporarily. National Grid said the outages stemmed from a failure at the Drum Rock substation, but were unsure of the cause.
Power was restored around 3:30p.m.
