A deadly, quadruple-shooting in the night in Fall River where authorities are treating the incident as a domestic murder-suicide. A man shot and killed another man and wounded two women, before turning the gun on himself.
Fall River police were called to a home on Bank Street at 3:05 A.M. to find four people shot, including the suspected shooter, Christopher Jean Baptiste, 25.
Authorities were told that he was fed up with members of his fiancee’s family living in the home for the past several months.
He struggled with his fiancee’s father, Hubert Labasquin, 69, shooting the father, mother and the fiancee’s 25-year old sister, who managed to call 9-1-1.
The father died at Rhode Island Hospital, the two women were treated at hospitals and are expected to survive.
The Bristol County District Attorney’s office says Jean Baptiste took his own life with a gun that he was licensed to carry.
