DeLuise Bakery on Chalkstone Avenue is a small neighborhood Italian bakery with donuts big on flavor. Many online reviewers said they stumbled upon the shop looking for some homegrown donuts and have left satisfied. Just look at the thick chocolate icing.
Keeping with the Italian bakery theme, Barrington’s Vienna Bakery is a third generation establishment which has dedicated itself to making authentic European treats. While pastries aren’t their only commodity, their donuts are delicious.
Also located in Barrington, the Blue Kangaroo is a comfortable café with a wide variety ranging from sweets, salads, and sandwiches… and of course donuts. While the donut is not their bread and butter, the selection does vary and will make your taste buds twirl: Pumpkin donut with maple glaze, strawberry donut with peach, glaze, even a vegan double-chocolate donut made from chick peas.
Moving to Newport to Ma’s Donuts, a privately owned establishment which has been turning out quality pastries since it was founded in 1993. Donuts are their business, and business is good. What kinds of donuts you ask? The better question would be, what donuts don’t they make?
Moving back to Providence, Easy Entertainment Inc. is a top notch catering company which operates its own café on Valley Street. These delectable treats are only available on Fridays and are quite popular. How popular you ask? The café will take donut pre-orders so they can guarantee you get your fix.
Last but certainly not least, is North Kingstown’s Allie’s Donuts – a shop famous for combining the delicious worlds of designer cakes and donuts. Need a giant donut for a party? They do it. Need it to look like a dinosaur? Yes, they do that too.
