Rhode Islanders love donuts. It’s a simple fact. In Providence alone, there are twenty-five dedicated donut shops per 100,000 people, and over 200 shops total in the state.

Despite the high concentration of pastry specific shops, most of the donut capital is supplied by one national chain Dunkin Donuts, with over 183 shops. Begging the question, where are the good places to by a fresh, baked from scratch, original recipe-donut in Rhode Island?
