Gov. announces plans for reopening State House to public

PROVIDENCE, R.I. (AP) — The Rhode Island State House is scheduled to reopen to the public on June 1, but some coronavirus restrictions will remain in place.

Gov. Dan McKee announced Tuesday that visitors will be allowed Monday through Friday from 9 a.m. and 3 p.m., but will be have to sign a log book and have their temperature taken.

They will also be required to wear masks in all common area.

No proof of vaccination will be required.

Some areas will remain off limits for health and security reasons.
