
PAWTUCKET, R.I. (AP) — Police in Pawtucket are investigating an early morning shooting that left a 20-year-old man dead.
Police in a statement said officers and firefighters responded to a Benefit Street address at around 1:15 a.m. Thursday and found the man inside a vehicle suffering from a gunshot wound.
Police say he was taken to Rhode Island Hospital in Providence were he was pronounced dead.
The shooting is being investigated as a homicide.
No additional information, including the victim’s name, was made public.
The shooting remains under investigation and there was no word an any arrests.
