BOSTON (AP) — Massachusetts’ Transportation Secretary Stephanie Pollack is leaving to become deputy administrator of the Federal Highway Administration under President Joe Biden’s administration.
Republican Gov. Charlie Baker’s office announced Thursday that Pollack will step down on Jan. 26 and begin working for the Democratic president’s administration the next day.
Jamey Tesler, who heads the state Registry of Motor Vehicles, will take over as the state’s acting secretary of transportation while Colleen Ogilvie, currently the deputy registrar, will serve as acting registrar.
