Rhode Island Governor Gina Raimondo told WPRO’s Gene Valicenti that she is looking into asking the courts to release the documents related to the 38 Studios investigation. “I’m going to do everything I possibly can to get this stuff out to the public,” Raimondo told Valicenti during a wide-ranging half hour interview where she also took calls from listeners. “:We’re looking at it right now. I’m trying to figure out every avenue available to me to get this stuff public without endangering the civil case.”

Raimondo also told Valicenti that she had no plans to leave office or Rhode Island if Democrat nominee Hillary Clinton wins the presidency. “This is where I belong and I’m staying,” she said, also noting that her young family had no interest in a move to Washington, DC.

The Governor reiterated her support for Clinton’s presidential run, despite the candidate’s “unacceptable” email scandal. She said the prospect of a Donald Trump presidency was “scary” and that Clinton is still “the best person for the job.

Other topics touched on included truck tolls, which Raimondo said were the “fairest option” and that more than hald the money would come from out of state vehicles. The Governor also maintained that she was a “huge supporter” of the line-item veto, and said the Innovation Chief, whose salary comes from the Rhode Island College Foundation, is providing value to the Rhode Island College community and was a good use of the Foundation’s money.

Raimondo supports the proposed $40 million dollar Pawtucket train station, saying there’s a high demand for mass transit in the urban area, while she’s “disappointed” in the lack of ridership and use of the suburban Wickford station.
