WARWICK, R.I. (AP) — Gov. Gina Raimondo is hosting another community meeting to discuss proposals to strengthen schools and help Rhode Islanders develop skills to compete in today’s job market.

The Democratic governor has planned a series of what she’s calling “skills that matter for jobs that pay” community conversations.

The next one is scheduled for 6 p.m. Monday at the Warwick Veterans Memorial High School.

The meeting is open to the public and will feature a question-and-answer session with Raimondo.

State lawmakers, education officials and Warwick’s mayor plan to attend.

Raimondo says she looks forward to hearing from residents and she’s eager to discuss efforts to move the state forward.

Her office is encouraging attendees to RSVP.
