An investigation is underway in Scituate to determine what caused a tractor trailer to rollover and kill the driver.
The crash happened shortly before 4 a.m. Friday on Route 6 at the intersection with Route 101. Police have not yet identified the driver.
“There were no skid marks, he did strike the guard rail, destroying 66 feet of guard rail; there’s no indication of another vehicle involved,” said Scituate Police Chief David Randall.
Randall said police are unsure of what happened, but speed may have been a factor.
The truck was holding canned tomato sauce; the truck was owned by a company in Fort Worth Texas.
