Woonsocket Police responded to Pothier Elementary School on Tuesday morning after reports that a female was making threats toward a teacher.

The teacher said she was in the conference room looking out the window when she observed 26-year-old Vanice Armstrong walking on the sidewalk with children. The teacher says Armstrong made direct eye contact with her and posed her hands as a gun and made a gesture that she was shooting the teacher while she laughed.

Armstrong denied the allegations. She was taken into custody after a brief struggle with police. She is charged with disorderly conduct.
