The body of a 61-year-old man who went missing on Tuesday was found in the Blackstone River in Woonsocket.

A Silver Alert was issued from Andre Genereux of Wilson Avenue around 2 p.m. on Tuesday after he was reported missing by his wife. Hours later his body was found in the water near Woonsocket’s River Island Park.

The Silver Alert issued for the man earlier in the day described him as a stroke survivor. Police say the death does not seem suspicious.
